Farm House with Two Trees, 2008
Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: Diptych 48" x 96"

I was commissioned by the Woodland Health Care member of CHW  to paint a painting for the new medical office building. The new building will serve a total of 57 physicians and 94 medical assistants, laboratory and x-ray technicians will work in the new facility, which will include the departments of allergy, cardiology, family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, occupational medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, podiatry, pulmonary medicine and rheumatology. Physicians and staff will handle an estimated 1,140 patient appointments every day.

The above is the painting I painted for the project as my idea for the painting. A detail of the above diptych was  chosen for the cover of Southwest Art Magazine, May 2008 issue.

Below are other images from my studio and of the installation process. The mural was installed on April 11, 2008.

In the studio. Just finished the mural. The Mural is 8' x 16' painted on wood panel.

With Isabel my dog in my studio with my roll up door open.
The painting is finished and ready to be delivered.

The painting had to be braced to keep it ridged. It does not look like it from the photo but it was a windy day.

Here is an installation shot. It took two lifts with a total of six men to install the mural.

Of course I am on the ground and feel anxious...

The mural is in place......sigh of relief... Success.
